We also recommend using recycled shopping bags for dog poop, or if you prefer to buy bags in rolls, please use a biodegradable brand. (Not "degradable", that's a trick word.)
For cats, we recommend Nature's Miracle Cat Litter, as it is the lightest-weight, best-smelling, longest-lasting clumping litter we've found, but other corn, wheat, or pine-based litters are good too. Clay-based litters are smelly, dusty, and bad for the environment.
(However, if your cat has litter box avoidance issues, Dr. Elsey's Cat Attract is certainly worth a try.)
